The Blood Bank module should be used for responding to the operating, procedural , inventory control and reporting demands of the Laboratory. The facilities and configurations should be in accordance with accreditation standards
The Donor Management system should maintain details of all donors and for recalling donors as required by the hospital.
Blood Bank module should help blood bank personnel manage their department more efficiently by integrating donor, unit and patient information ; flags abnormal results , reports test and transfusion results , minimizes product waste , compiles statistical reports, incorporates rules when recording and testing , generates turnaround time and workload statistics, and capture charges.

 
The following has been extracted from a recent RFP. I've included it here for your reference. It may prove useful for anyone preparing such a document.

The Blood Bank module should be used for responding to the operating, procedural , inventory control and reporting demands of the Laboratory. The facilities and configurations should be in accordance with accreditation standards
