Mylab leverages Qure.ai’s tech to enhance TB screening

Indian biotech company Mylab Discovery Solutions is integrating Qure.ai’s AI technology into its upcoming x-ray device for screening tuberculosis.According to a press statement, MyBeam is a compact, lightweight device equipped with high-frequency technology for detecting TB. It will be powered by Qure.ai’s deep-learning software qXR to analyse chest x-ray images and identify TB within a minute.

Doctors across India can now access an AI clinical decision support tool from Apollo Hospitals.Last year, the hospital chain launched the Apollo Clinical Intelligence Engine (CIE), a self-learning engine that analyses symptoms, determines causes, and helps recommend the best course of action.

India pilots digital universal vaccination platform

India has started piloting a new digital platform that tracks the routine immunisation of mothers and newborn children across India. Called U-WIN, the online system digitises the government’s Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP), which is providing protection against 12 vaccine-preventable diseases to around 26.7 million newborns and 29 million expectant mothers each year. 
Through this, records of all vaccinations of pregnant women and newborns and their delivery outcomes will be made. It will remind their upcoming vaccine shots and automatically follow up on dropouts. 
Digital registrations to the portal have been ongoing in pilot areas, which include two districts in each state and Union Territory.

Manipal Hospitals, one of India’s biggest hospital chains, has entered into a long-term partnership with Fujifilm India for the deployment of a large-scale PACS.Based on their agreement, Fujifilm’s RICS PACS will be rolled out in 23 hospitals and 45 teleradiology facilities under Manipal Hospitals’ network across India.
